TRANSAT SONORE
Creation 2025 for the Journées européennes des métiers d’arts (JEMA) at Mano Alto - Ollioules
Cinema without images, to see with sounds. Sound is an element of the territory; it moves our personal and collective memories through the different times that accompany our lives. The sapphire of the vinyl turntables reads and rereads the diversity of music and the contexts in which men and women play, sing, and dance their relationships. This sound system is a journal of sonic travels. Music knows better than anything how to tell us stories. Major and minor chords of popular culture, music serves as an echo chamber for the evolution of our societies. It allows us to hear how people live their era. An avid vinyl record collector for many years, I will share some of these treasures, inviting Lou Faedda, a talented flutist, to accompany these gems from yesterday and today, collected here and elsewhere. Another guest, Morgana Planchais, a voice from the radio world, will present jingles, liners, radio stings, and other sonic bits specially created for these European Days of Craftsmanship. Saturday, April 5: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM with Lou Faedda, flutist. Flute interludes every 30 minutes. Sunday, April 6: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM with Morgana Planchais, radio voiceover artist, who will present jingles, liners, and other sonic bits.
