no.W.here
no.W.here - teaser from Kubilai Khan on Vimeo. « As a rule, I see no difference between a handshake and a poem ». Paul Celan no.W.here draws a strange curve of the representations' plans, this duo observes and probes the little space left for bodies beyond conventions, it suggests ways of being and thinking of oneself which do not reproduce a relationship to the power of norms or a continuation of codes. Would it be possible for the diverging gestures to escape the control of categorisation ? no.W.here looks at the manner in which a particular image appears, the one which proposes a possible digression, which indicates a deviation, dissidence to release oneself from the controlling forces of society. A partial geography of our more open identities. Two bodies face to face which sound out worlds' lack of consolidation, their evaporation, their doubtfulness, no.W.here proposes a revised spatiality, an intersection between the reality and the imaginary, between space and language as a way of transgressing binary logic ; opening up ways capable of liberating potentialities, divergences, to get out of the narrow confines of everyday life, to open up the map. The body is not propriety but a relationship, identity is not an essence but a relationship and its subjectivity is multiple and reveals itself in movement. “We are the journey”. Journey that takes into consideration the entire landscape. The representation will develop a “materiality”, and pay particular attention to the elaboration of the ensemble of places and the animate and inanimate forms that will inhabit the stage (setting up the objects and music before the spectators and the lighting) in the adjustment of the dancers' emotional and physical spaces. They themselves being conductor bodies, singular and collective, have a way of “blurring”, traversing their great capacity for experiencing the different usages of our bodies. How can one stand on the edge ? What does this edge or limit imply ? Feeling present in and of every moment, the exhibition of one's own infinity, self-possession, self-reflexion, seeking the link between the orders of different realities. no.W.here draws a beauty as heady as a poignant dream.
